PFLAG is putting together a cookbook to celebrate our local LGBTQ+ community, friends, families and allies. We'll be collecting until August 28th. Cookbooks will be for sale at our Annual Meeting on September 29th.

We've often been asked about what the name "PFLAG" means. The historical answer is "Parents, Family and Friends of Le****ns And G**s". Yes, there are two F-words and the word "And" gets its own letter. Yes, it is a rather dated acronym.

In 2014, PFLAG members across the country voted to "lose" 'the acronym, but keep the name reflecting PFLAG's history as the nation's largest organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them.

From WE Health Clinic: "As large healthcare systems continue to cancel their youth gender affirming care programs, it's critical that we show up for trans youth in our communities." In contrast, WE Health is inviting all of us to support them in expanding their gender affirming care program to youth.

Everyone is invited to join this special event to support WE Health Clinic in Duluth. Mark your calendar, bring your friends.

Rainbow Parenting Group meets next Monday, June 15th, 5 PM to 7 PM. at the Washburn Public Library.

Join us for an evening of support, creativity and snacks!

The whole family is invited. The first hour will be a casual social hour. Starting at 6 p.m., we will have a craft for kids lead by PFLAG volunteers and a support group for parents lead by two PFLAG parents of an adult trans daughter.

*Rainbow Parenting Group will be meeting the 3rd Monday of each month (change from prior schedule)
