Livestock Interviews!
Livestock Interviews will take place on Tuesday, June 30 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the the Fairgrounds, Building #15 (Show Arena)

You will need to sign up for Livestock Interviews in FairEntry. You are not signing up for a specific time, just that you will be participating in them.

To sign up for a specific time, go to z.umn.edu/LivestockInterviewTimeSignUp - We will be closing interview time signups on June 5th (TODAY!). This will allow us to find the adequate number of judges based on the number of youth signed up.

All youth showing livestock (beef, dairy, dog, goat, horse, lama, poultry, rabbit, sheep, and swine) at the Waseca County Fair are strongly encouraged to complete a livestock interview for each species they exhibit.

Livestock interviews are not required, so there will be no make-up interviews.

Hello Waseca County 4-H!!

I am Isabella Schultz and I am excited to be the Youth Development 4-H Summer Intern here in Waseca County! I am from Steele County, where I have been involved with the dairy project, ambassadors, Green Team, and held county officer positions. In the fall I will begin my second year at the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota, studying occupational therapy. 4-H has been a big part of my life and I am so excited for the new opportunities 4-H is still offering me! I hope to see you around at our camps and the Waseca County Fair!

Rabbit/Poultry: $5/class
Horse: $15/member + stalling form
All others: $5/head. Family cap: $75 (excludes $15 Horse Stalling Fee)

$50 Clean-Up deposit required, refundable after fair. Details found at z.umn.edu/LivestockBarnCleanUp

Fee Form can be found at z.umn.edu/FeeForm and checks can be made out to the Waseca County 4-H Federation.

Back by popular demand is the Meats Grilling Contest! This contest will be on Sunday, July 12th at 10am south of the Livestock Arena. This is open to any 4-Hers in grades 3+.

Youth in grades 3rd-5th will be able to compete in the Junior division. Youth 6+ will be in the Senior Division.

You can sign up as a team or individually. Individual participants will be placed on a team. Teams will consist of 3-4 youth. There is a limit of 20 teams.

Learn to sew at our new day camp! By the end of the camp, youth will have completed their own pillowcase that they can use! They will also be able to bring their pillowcase to the county fair for a sewing - non-garment exhibit. This will be a great introduction to sewing and no experience is required!
