15 Year Anniversary Celebration benefitting Safe Homes of Orange County Assisting Safe Homes of Orange County in their fundraising efforts A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

The Warwick Valley Bed and Breakfast will hold a reception on Sunday, November 4, 2012, 2-6 pm, to celebrate 15 years in business. Proceeds from the evening will benefit Safe Homes of Orange County assisting in their effort raising funds for Domestic Violence. "Every home should be a Safe Home,” which is why Loretta wants to open her home to help others. Tickets are $25 per person and can be order

The afternoon includes wine, hard cider and hors d’oeuvres on the beautiful grounds of the Warwick Valley Bed and Breakfast, tented with tables and heaters, as well as the inside of Loretta’s c.1900 Colonial Revival home. An array of appetizers from local restaurants and caterers will be served throughout the afternoon while you listen and dance to live music by Gayle Donnelly, singer/songwriter/keyboardist playing Eclectic Soul-Pop; Run DMG, soft rock featuring Matthew Scherdin, Dr. Dean Scher and Gerry Baer; and, Strings Attached “Orange County’s newest Acoustic Rock Trio” featuring Jeanie Cassels, John Desibia and Alli Fox.

The total raised at the November 4, 2012 has changed...
..Loretta Breedveld celebrated her 15th anniversary as owner and innkeeper of the Warwick Valley Bed & Breakfast with a benefit for Safe Homes in the fall of 2012. The event featured appetizers and wine donated by local restaurants and wineries, a silent auction with gifts from Warwick businesses, a 50/50 raffle, and three live bands—including our beloved Run DMG (Dr. Dean Scher, Matthew Sheridan and Gerry Baer, coming soon to Love-Gently at Painter’s). Hosted November 4, a cold Sunday after Hurricane Sandy, the event raised an impressive $4,633. Thank you Loretta and Friends!

There was an article in the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce recent newsletter talking about the November 4, 2012 event to benefit safe homes. Gayle Donnelly performed as well as RUN DMG (Matthew Scherdin, Dr. Dean Scher and Gerry Baer) and STRINGS ATTACHED (Jeanie Cassels, John Desibia and Alli Fox). Each set was awesome. I finally got to relax at the end of the day and had fun dancing to RUN DMG's music. Great band!

Area restaurants that donated were: The Landmark Inn, Grappa, Coquito, El Azteca, Blarney Station, Fetch, Chateau Hathorn and Viviano. The food was incredible!

Beverages were donated by Peck's Liquor Store, Warwick Valley Winery, Applewood Winery and Mark Chisholm, wine supplier. All the wines and hard ciders were enjoyed by all!

Thank you everyone! Safe Homes is a wonderful organization to support. The following is taken from a letter to me from Kellyann Kostyal-Larrier, Executive Director of Safe Homes: "We count on the year-round support of the community to raise our voices against all acts of violence, demand accountability for perpetrators, and provide victims of domestic violence the network of support they need to find safety."

More details to follow, but wanted everyone to know, I delivered $3,977.50 to Safe Homes last week!!! I was only able to do this because of ALL of the wonderful people in my life, my friends, business associates, my daughters friends, the volunteers from Safe Homes! God Bless all of you and and i hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!
