Muddy Boots Horse Farm and Rescue Muddy Boots Horse Farm & Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescuing horses and inspiring lives through hands-on education.

Our Homeschool Horse Rescue Academy and Equine-Assisted Learning programs help every horse—and every person—find purpose. Heidi and Greg Nequist own Muddy Boots Horse Farm and Rescue. Heidi started riding horses at age 50 and immediately fell in love. Thanks to a very lucrative real estate business, she was able to purchase horses and just 3 years later, they bought their first horse farm in Warwi

ck, Maryland. Heidi has always worked in some capacity with the broken of the world. Children, teens, women, and now animals. Her goal is to bring together the broken horse with the broken person and work with them both to see healing. You have been asking, so we are delivering!

Trail rides on horseback are AMAZING. But it is super important that you know the basics before you ride.

Basics include:

-horse safety
-grooming
-putting on tack and removing it
-steering a horse
-stopping a horse
-mounting and dismounting properly
-and a few more things!

While our horses do great on the trails, they have their own personalities, and you need to get to know them before you hit the trail!

We are offering a Beginner to Trail Rider program for adults over 16 who want to hit the trails.

If you register with a friend, each person will receive a 10% discount!

Program includes:

-2 lessons (do it with a friend or two!!!)
-Riding in our training area and through our short trails on property included in lessons
-90 minute trail ride, including doing your own grooming and tacking

***Each client must be able to complete all tasks taught in the two lessons before taking a trail ride. Package must be completed within 4 weeks from first lesson to trail ride. Additional lessons can be purchased for an additional fee if rider is not ready to hit the trails after 2 lessons.***
