The Warwick Kentish Artillery Armory (now home of Warwick Center for the Arts ) and the Pawtuxet Rangers Armory are two stops among 14 along "The Bus Tour of the Historic Armories of Rhode Island," to be held Saturday, September 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Take advantage of this opportunity for a rare visit to the armories, while riding in coach bus comfort! Your guides are Roberta Mudge Humble, author of "The Historic Armories of Rhode Island" and president of the Westerly Armory, and Colonel Ron Barnes, past commander of the Pawtuxet Rangers. Other armories on the tour include the Varnum Memorial Armory and the Kentish Guards Armory, both in East Greenwich, and armories in Newport, Warren, Bristol, Pawtucket, and Providence.
Tickets are $45 per person and includes a boxed lunch. The tour leaves at 9 a.m. sharp from CCRI in Warwick.
