Warwick Center for the Arts WCFA presents art exhibits, cultural performance, art classes, camps and more. More info is posted online at www.warwickcfa.org

As Warwick's largest non-profit arts organization and the area's cultural center since 1976, WCFA provides performance and exhibition space for talented artists, writers and performers from many communities in RI. WCFA hosts frequent art exhibitions -- plus a wide variety of cultural arts activities like comedy, theater, music, poetry and literature -- in the beautifully restored Kentish Artillery Armory in Apponaug Village. WCFA is also available for private events like weddings, birthday parties & fundraisers for non-profits.

Volunteer with us at the WCFA!

We're looking for two kinds of volunteers

· Gallery Ambassadors
Help in welcoming visitors, talk about the work on the walls, and learn how exhibits are hung and lit. A great fit if you're curious about how a gallery runs.

· Classroom Ambassadors
Assist our instructors during classes and vacation camps, and pick up new mediums while helping others.

Open to ages 13 and up, so a great option for teens.

Hours are flexible around our schedule.

CALL FOR ART: Curiosities

We're looking for the strange, the uncanny, and the beautifully macabre.

Creatures real and imagined, specimens and relics, overlooked objects, and small mysteries that make you look twice. Dark in tone is welcome. Just keep it suitable for a gallery open to visitors of all ages.

🗓️ Deadline: Monday, November 30, 2026
🖼️ Exhibition: January 6 to February 5, 2027
✨ Opening reception: Thursday, January 7, 6 - 8 pm
🎨 All media welcome. Artists 18+ from any region. Up to 3 works.

The 40th Annual RI Open opens next month at the Warwick Center for the Arts.

Juried this year by Richard Whitten, Professor of Painting at Rhode Island College, the RI Open is a themeless show. 40 years of giving Rhode Island artists a wall for whatever they've been making. The result is a wide range of media and a room that rewards a slow walk through it.

· Show run: October 8 – November 21, 2026

This Saturday, the teachers get the wall.

Our RI Art Educators Exhibit brings together 37 works by 25 art educators from across the state, the people who spend their days drawing out everyone else's work, showing what they make when no one's assigning it. Oil, stained glass, ceramics, quilting, felted paper, digital painting, a two-by-three-inch landscape painted on location in a garden. Several of them are self-portraits, which tells you something.

Meet the artists of the 40th Annual Rhode Island Open at the Warwick Center for the Arts.

Juror Richard Whitten had a wide and wonderful pool to choose from this year, and selected the pieces with real staying power- work that struck him immediately and kept revealing something new on the second and third look.

Congratulations to every artist on this list. We can't wait to see your work on the walls.
