Did you know… we screen eyes…
Lions KidSight is a nationwide program focused on pre-schoolers and school-age children.
It’s quick and non-invasive. Volunteers use a handheld specialized camera to scan a child's eyes in less than a second.
What They Detect: The screening looks for risk factors like amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (crossed eyes), unequal vision, refractive errors, cataracts, and other developmental eye issues.
Screenings do not replace a comprehensive medical eye exam or eye dilation. If a risk factor is found, the Lions provide a referral to an optometrist or ophthalmologist for formal diagnosis and treatment.
