The cost of the 2 new buildings to be built concurrently on existing school campuses is projected at $350 million including "escalation" (a buffer for increased costs). In round numbers, RI Department of Education (RIDE) approved $314 million as a base for reimbursement and has approved 52.5% reimbursement rate giving Warwick $165 million toward this project. This is a great opportunity to collect on the statewide school bonds that Warwick residents approved with a 75% approval rate! Those funds have supported school construction all over the state. It's our turn, Warwick!
