We had a special visitor, Noah Long from Noah’s Nursing and Garden, and our kids had the best time learning all about WORMS and how important they are for helping our garden grow. 🪱🌱

The favorite part? Finding out that worms “poop” in the winter and it turns into worm manure! Let’s just say the children thought that was the funniest science lesson ever. 😂

Noah was amazing with our kids, and what makes it even more special is that Noah was once a Head Start child himself. Full circle moment! ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to Noah for sharing his time, knowledge, and donation to help our garden grow. Because of him, our tomatoes 🍅, onions 🧅, basil 🌿, cucumbers 🥒 and more will soon be thriving—just like our precious children, with a little love, care, and daily watering.

At Warsaw Head Start, we proudly serve children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, and we also offer prenatal and home-based services.

We Hosted our first “100 man lunch” on Friday, April 10th.
This event is rooted in our belief that connection, safety, and belonging are the foundation for children’s success. Positive male involvement helps children feel seen, valued, and supported, which strengthens confidence, social-emotional development, and school readiness.

We had 20 community representatives including the Benton County Health Dept, Warsaw/Lincoln Ambulance District, Warsaw Fire Dept., Warsaw Police Dept, Warsaw school administration, and Truman State Park.
12 family members of children were also in attendance along with local and administrative Head Start Staff.

Thank you to McDonald’s, Sonic, Heart of America redistribution center, and Hilltop Bbq for donations to our meal.
