AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Wagon Wheel Community Theatre will hold open auditions for their 2023 spring season January 10 and 11 from 6:30-8:30 PM, callbacks will be held on January 12 from 6:30-8:30 PM. Auditions will be located in the Wagon Wheel Conservatory building, located at 2517 East Center Street. The spring season consists of a full-length comedy; Dearly Beloved to be performed March 9-12, 2023 and The Phantom of The Wagon Wheel which will be our annual audience participation murder mystery to be performed April 27-30, 2023. Anyone in the community over the age of 18 is encouraged to audition. There is no need to prepare anything in advance, the audition format will be a "cold reading" in which participants read directly from the script rather than a prepared monologue. Theatrical resumes are welcome but not required. Community members are encouraged to audition for one or both shows during the audition process as the rehearsal schedules do not conflict. Did you know that one of our Community Theatre members has written and published three books? Tim Davis’ latest book, That’s Desert Not Dessert was released last month. Tim was in our productions of Lend Me A Tenor, Clue, The Odd Couple Female Version and several murder mysteries.

Give 'em Hell, Harry! is a biographical play about former President of the United States Harry S. Truman, written by playwright Samuel Gallu. In this one-man show, Truman is portrayed by Fred Grandy. It is the inspirational story of a mule trader's son who rose from obscurity to become our 33rd President.

Tickets are on sale now for GIVE 'EM HELL, HARRY! GIVE 'EM HELL, HARRY will play the Wagon Wheel on September 23, 24 and 25.

Following each performance there will be a question-and-answer session with Fred Grandy.
