⭐ VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT ⭐
This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Kim Casper, who has been volunteering at CCS for nearly a year as part of our front desk team. Kim was inspired to get involved in the community during retirement. What energizes her most is seeing clients on a regular basis and building those connections. For Kim, the most rewarding part of volunteering is simple: the people—our clients, volunteers, and employees.
Her time at CCS has also given Kim a greater perspective on the needs in our community. She says volunteering has reminded her that not everyone has food, making the work happening at CCS even more meaningful. Outside of volunteering, Kim enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her grandkids and making memories together. Her advice to anyone considering volunteering? “Try it—you might like it!” Kim also hopes the community will remember that there is a real need for dog and cat food and hygiene items, in addition to food for families. We’re so grateful for the time, heart, and compassion Kim brings to CCS!
