We are deeply grateful to Jennifer Hogenson and our local Kay Jewelers (Warsaw, IN) for their recent donation of plushie stuffed animals!

They held a fundraiser for St. Jude's by selling the plushies, but because we have such a generous community, they had many donated back to them. Jennifer, an Assistant Manager at the store, then reached out to Cardinal Services.

We are happy to report that the plushies have found a home with our Healthy Families Kosciusko County program where they will be given out to children passing their 12-month milestone. ♥

Zachery accomplished one of his meaningful life goals recently when he went to the reknowned Albanese Candy- Factory. He also went to check out some different thrift stores, which he loves doing, and found the Autism Awareness shirt that he's wearing. 💙

Our Warsaw Aktion Club held their October meeting at Warsaw Bowl this afternoon and after a quick business meeting, members enjoyed bowling and pizza together - it was great fun!

Our thanks to owner Burl Haywood for hosting us (we rate him an A+++), giving us a great deal, and making it a wonderful afternoon!

Ron really enjoyed spending time with his sister and cousins last week. Among other things, they played BINGO together at Kosciusko Community Senior Services.

What an incredible week we had at the fall session of Camp New Horizons!

 We kicked off with a sweet adventure visiting SixtyOne Hives , a beekeeping operation where we discovered how bees work together - and even got to taste some yummy honey!

 Next up was a full day of fall fun at Roberts Farms in Wawaka. There were so many activities to enjoy that we couldn't even make it through everything! The campers had an absolute blast, and we made so many wonderful memories along the way.

 Back at camp, we spent the day playing games and getting creative with arts and STEM activities. So much curiosity!

 Of course, we enjoyed a day at the park - being outside, enjoying the cool fall breeze, playing together, and making new friends. Sometimes the simplest moments turn into the best memories!

 For our final day, we headed to Cardinal's main building for a day of movement, learning, and fun! The campers worked out in the Fitness Club, using their muscles, and then it was off to Culinary Club to learn how to make pizza. And, of course, the best part of THAT was eating what they made!

Please join us in a HUGE KUDOS to our Camp New Horizons team: Samantha Blosser, Ely Wendt, and Maria Muniz for making it a special week for our campers - It takes a wonderful team to create an environment where every camper can learn, grow, feel included, and make lasting memories. These ladies are remarkably talented DSPs and we are grateful to have them on our team. ♥
