If you recall a couple three weeks ago I requested prayer for our Hands of Hope surgical team after several setbacks. We had one surgeon which means we could do less surgeries, but fewer surgeries was still worth building the team and going. Anesthesia is always a challenge for our trips and for this year it was HUGE! Also the requirement is for a Guatemalan anesthesiologists which is very difficult to achieve. So, in searching for a single anesthesiologists we had two surgeons and 6 anesthesiologists volunteer, all Guatemalan! Thank you everyone who prayed for this team and for this week of surgeries. We have been blessed beyond words. Meet our new friends!

Our own Amie Bochstahler scrubbed in today. Amie participated with several of our teams over the years and now is a full time missionary in Guatemala. Thank you Amie for joining our trip this year!

Two new friends! Thank you Karen and Danny for becoming part of the team today! They provided us with anesthesia for our patients. Really nice experience to work with local doctors.
