Kosciusko County Community Foundation

Kosciusko County Community Foundation At the Kosciusko County Community Foundation, we inspire generosity and strengthen communities.

• We accept a wide variety of gifts, large and small, complex and simple.
• We endow funds so that a donor’s dream creates a permanent legacy in the community.
• We handle fund administration. Donors get the joy of giving while we do the paperwork, grant follow up and reporting.
• We are knowledgeable about community needs and can help answer the question, “How can I make a difference?”
• We provide board governance and professional staffing to watch over a donor’s gift and ensure its impact.

Collaborate Kosciusko enjoyed a fireside chat today with Krista, Co-founder and Executive Director of Kate's Kart, and Angie, Communications Director at the Community Foundation, as they unpacked the real-world value of the annual report.

Collaborate Kosciusko serves as a forum for nonprofit leaders to meet and discuss trends, needs, and current events in their industries, and to share resources with one another.

💙For Love. For Legacy. For Lasting Impact.💙
The Community Foundation is my foundation.

Behind every fund is a story of love, legacy, and lasting impact for a better future. In our video series, meet the people who turned their passions and memories into powerful legacies through the Community Foundation.

Today we feature Ron Baumgartner from Syracuse, Indiana. Ron created the Archibald (Arch) and Della Baumgartner Community Fund in memory of his parents. This fund will meet the changing needs of our community, forever. Community Funds are started by people who care about our community and want to make a difference. Donations to the fund are invested, and each year the Community Foundation and Board use the funds to award grants to local nonprofits to support key community needs as they arise.

Listen to his story to see why he chose the Kosciusko County Community Foundation as his foundation.

It's Fund Friday!

Today we’re highlighting the Neal and Joy Carlson Community Fund.

Established by the late Neal and Joy Carlson in 2015, they created several endowment funds at the Community Foundation that will continue to do good work in our community, forever. This fund has helped Cardinal Services, Combined Community Services, Operation Read, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Kosciusko Community YMCA, Lakeland Christian Academy, and more!

Community Funds are started by people who care about our community and want to make a difference. Donations to the fund are invested, and each year the Community Foundation Grant Committee and Board use the funds to award grants to local nonprofits to support key community needs as they arise.

Nearly 200 women in our community attended the Women In Philanthropy event this week as we celebrated the many ways women have been changing our community for the better!

We heard the stories of Kelly Heckaman, Sue Mock, and Cindy Zehr as they took the stage to inspire us to write our own stories with courage, purpose, and grace.

Many thanks to all the helping hands that made this event possible including:
💗Frazzetta Financial Services who served as our event sponsor.
💗Saucy's Barnyard BBQ & Catering for the delicious meal.
💗Abby Logan who was our event photographer.
💗Forge Ahead for designing the table centerpieces.
💗Wildman for donating the table linens.
💗And the Women In Philanthropy committee that helped to bring this event to life.
