Day 3 of Summer History Camp is over. The kids made egg rolls for Lao culture day. After egg rolls we played pétanque, a french yard game popular in Laos! Today was a great day to talk about how other cultures influence each other.

Day 2 of Summer History Camp is a wrap! Today we focused on Scandinavian culture by making lefse! The kids riced potatoes rolled their lefse and grilled it. Some enjoyed theirs while still making some for the family. We also played Kubb, a Scandinavian yard game!

Day 1 of Summer History Camp is a wrap! Thanks to the Native American Education Program for bringing in Folklorama to teach the kids about hoop dancing and drumming.

Happy ! Today we have a picture of the old Zion Evangelical Church! Also referred to as the Swedish Lutheran Church, was the first organized church in Warroad. Did you attend service at this church?

Our for today is of the drive in down at the point! Alvin Johnston built the Dairy Bar down at the point in 1952. Does anyone remember going there?

We are so excited to announce a partnership with the Native American Education Program for Summer History Camp! Monday's programming will feature Folklorama's Brian Clyne Family Troupe!
