It looks like we need a new profile photo. If one of our members is responsible for this, please leave this group.

Want to see what a 4000 amp main breaker looks like… Now take a guess at what one of these costs___

$238000.00

Guess how many of these are required for one of the new data centers being built in our jurisdiction?

IBEW we have the manpower we have the knowledge and we have the drive to bring these projects in on time and on budget as safely as possible! Definitely a sacrifice at times for the family man who is also a conscientious worker dedicated to provide more hours than in a usual work week…that is called “Working Together”

I'd like to clarify something.
The single, most important influence on my life and my Brothers and Sisters lives has been the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. I have made a very good living and have been afforded a very good pension and health care benefits.
I am neither a pure Liberal nor Conservative. I do not agree with all political and economic views and affiliations of either group. I doubt that many people do.
When given the choice to support a candidate, I have and I will continue to support the candidate who supports the collective bargaining process and defends the rights of working people regardless of Union affiliation.
In 1935, legislation was passed in the form of the National Labor Relations Act which guarantees the right to collectively bargain. If you read the history of this country you will find that prior to this legislation, when workers attempted to work together to attain decent wages and working conditions, the employer took drastic actions such as Republic Steel where armed guards shot people who were attempting to attain a decent lifestyle. This legislation sent a message that shooting people who were attempting to "get a piece of the pie" would no longer be acceptable and required the employer to negotiate in good faith. I don't think that's unreasonable. The right to move forward and attain a degree of dignity in the workplace was accomplished thru legislation.
Now we see political figures such as Trump and his cronies who want to take that away from us in the form of "Right to Work" and other legislation. I would have to be some kind of stupid to support anyone who wants to do this, now wouldn't I?
Therefore I support, in most cases, the candidate who is at least somewhat aligned with my beliefs and will not support anyone who wants to take away the things that we have fought for.
I am neither a Liberal nor a Conservative. I am an American who believes that a working person deserves the opportunity to live a decent life.
I am a proud member of the American Labor Movement who served as an elected officer of IBEW 701 for 20 years.
Any politician who does not support the American Labor Movement will not have my support. I will work to keep them out of office. I will help to put those who support The American Labor Movement into office.
