Thank you to all the participants who came out for the Biochar Production and Agroforestry tour last Thursday! In addition, thank you to the Settles Family, Steve McCalla of Rocky Ridge Farm, and our very own Jon White for educating participants on the fundamentals of biochar and how to produce it using a free-to-rent kiln from Working Landscapes. Afterwards, Dan led a brief tour of the agroforestry systems on his farm. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by our prepared meals team. Thank you so much for coming out to join us! We can’t wait for the next one.

Join us this Thursday at the Drewry Fire Department (125 Firefighter Dr, Manson, NC 27553) to help us shape our local housing landscape! The Warren County Housing Coalition, including Working Landscapes, are committed to shaping the future of this community to build a community-driven, resilient housing landscape. We'd love to have you come out and share housing experiences, housing goals, and commune with folks who have goals that will work in tandem with yours.
There will be a free BBQ plate dinner for the first 25 attendees! While the event is free and open to all, we encourage you to register using the EventBrite link: https://bit.ly/4rgCEaw.

Last week, Working Landscapes was excited to partner with other members of the Eastern Food Hub Collaborative, including 4P Foods and Firsthand Foods to serve the festival goers of the Farm Aid Festival in Virginia Beach!
