From Young Marine to U.S. Navy Sailor ⚓️🇺🇸
Who do we have here? 👀🔥
Meet YM/MSgt Skyler Rider!
After 8 years with the Lewis & Clark Young Marines, Skyler is officially a U.S. Navy Sailor and is headed to Naval Nuclear Power Training Command to train as an Electronics Technician (Nuclear Power).
During his time in the program, Skyler rose to YM/MSgt and helped teach multiple leadership schools, including ALS, leaving his mark on the Young Marines who followed him.
When asked what lesson he’ll carry into his Navy career, Skyler said:
“The most important lesson the Young Marines has taught me is accountability. Accountability is important everywhere you go, but especially now that I’m in the Navy.”
This is what growth, leadership, and commitment look like. From Young Marine to sailor, the next chapter is just getting started. ⚓️🔥
Congratulations, Seaman Rider!
