The Vision 20/20 Project is now accepting applications for 10 new members of the Champions and Emerging Leaders (CEL) Group, a standing committee of the Vision 20/20 Advisory Council.
If you are a fire service professional who is actively engaged in Community Risk Reduction (CRR), passionate about advancing the field at a national level, and ready to contribute alongside some of the most forward-thinking practitioners in the country, we want to hear from you.
We are intentional about this cohort. Of the 10 open seats, five are reserved for professionals serving in Operations roles within the fire service. This is a deliberate effort to ensure that the operational perspective, the view from the apparatus floor, the battalion, and the incident command post, is represented at the table where national CRR strategy is shaped. If you are a company officer, battalion chief, operations division chief, or similar, your perspective is specifically needed.
As a CEL member, you will:
• Participate directly in national strategic planning and ex*****on alongside experienced Vision 20/20 mentors
• Work across traditional fire service silos with a diverse, inclusive group of practitioners from across the country
• Engage with national organizations and strategic business alliance partners at the forefront of CRR innovation
• Advocate for evidence-based solutions and best practices within the U.S. fire and emergency services
This is a two-year term commitment. The CEL group meets monthly on the first Wednesday at 12:00 PM EST via Zoom, and members are expected to attend a minimum of seven meetings per calendar year. Participation requires authorization from your fire chief and immediate supervisor.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. We encourage you to apply early, as seats for this cohort are limited to 10.
This is an opportunity to do something that matters beyond your jurisdiction. We hope you will consider it.
