In six months since the merge of Lifeworks Autism Services and Milestones Autism Resources, Lifeworks has worked toward preserving Milestones’ resources as it became a program of Lifeworks.

Since our merge in October, Lifeworks Autism Services has remained deeply committed to supporting the autism and intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) community. This year, we’re focusing our time and resources on strengthening the Milestones Free Resource Center, expanding the HelpDesk, and enhancing our Department of Training and Education. These core services reach thousands of individuals, families, and professionals each year, and investing in their excellence in this first year of the merge will create the greatest impact for our community.

Because of this strategic focus, we have made the thoughtful decision not to hold a conference this year. We want to ensure our core services continue to grow, evolve, and meet the needs of individuals, families and professionals. Lifeworks will remain committed to actively engaging in community outreach events throughout the region, ensuring we remain connected, accessible, and responsive to the needs of those we serve.

We know you’ve heard the news — Milestones Autism Resources has officially merged with Lifeworks Autism Services! Milestones Autism Resources has merged with Lifeworks Autism Services to expand and strengthen services for autistic individuals, their families, caregivers and the professionals who support them. This strategic merger brings together two trusted, mission-driven organizations, each with unique and complementary strengths, shared values, and a deep commitment to empowering individuals with autism across the lifespan. Breaking News: Cleveland is officially the host city of the 2030 Special Olympics USA Games — the largest inclusive sporting event in our city’s history. 🌟

More than 5,500 athletes and coaches from all 50 states, Canada, and the Caribbean will come to The Land, joined by 125,000+ fans and family members, to celebrate competition, courage, and community.

The Games will bring epic Opening and Closing Ceremonies with award-winning entertainment, a Parade of Athletes, and more than 16 team and individual sports, including Unified competitions. Beyond the excitement, the event will generate more than $70 million in economic impact for our region.

🎉 Celebrating Hispanic Heritage 🎉

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15th to October 15th, and marks a time to recognize the many contributions and rich culture of the American Latino community.

Milestones is proud to have expanded our reach into Northeast Ohio's Latino community, and we strive to address the unique barriers in diagnosis and services that this community continues to face. Our new MetroHealth Helpdesk partnership offers Spanish-speaking support at two locations--Parma and Buckeye. Our goal is to ensure that all families get the diagnosis and support that they need.
