Join two amazing members of the Effective Leadership Academy team for an unforgettable wellness session this Friday!

ELA's expert educators, Kelly Biggar and Gabrielle Tillman, will be at the Starting Point Out-of-School Time Symposium on Friday, October 16 from 11:45 am - 12:45 pm. They will be presenting "Live Well, Teach Well," a program designed to give educators the tools they need to achieve better work-life balance in a demanding career field.

Today was the first day of CLA for our Parma cohort!

Students spent the day learning a variety of success skills from ELA facilitators, identified their personality types, explored the Cleveland Metroparks Watershed Stewardship Center, and heard the personal career journeys of our professional panelists.

Students worked collaboratively to design their dream homes on a journey of self-discovery.

Thank you to the Cleveland Metroparks for hosting and providing a fascinating tour, to our wise panelists from Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District and Cleveland Metroparks for sharing their stories, and to all the students who showed up today with an open mind. 🧠💡

Effective Leadership Academy and Westshore Young Leaders collaborated for a fantastic day of fun!

Students engaged in a variety of interactive group activities to help them learn more about themselves, build leadership skills, and take a deeper look into their school communities.

Every Monday for eight weeks straight, our 6th grade students at Garfield Heights Middle School will have opportunities to think outside the box, get creative, and learn essential collaboration skills that will carry them through any future career.

This group activity encouraged students to create "human shapes" by working together. This was one group's unique interpretation of a star. 🌟

On this final day of September, we reflect on National Workforce Development Month.

Effective Leadership Academy runs a variety of programs centered around workforce development. From our custom-tailored professional development programs for adults to our student programming, we give people the tools necessary to thrive in any environment.

Our Career Leadership Academy (CLA) and Middle School Career Pathways programs introduce students to diverse panels of working professionals. Through these interactive experiences, students learn how to present themselves more professionally and understand what career options might be available to them in the future.
