🎶💙💛 WL FFA HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE! 💛💙🎶

We are SO excited to announce that Trayce McFadden has been selected to the 2026 National FFA Band on Euphonium!

Trayce is the FIRST student in Warrensburg-Latham FFA history to be selected for the National FFA Band!

After representing WL FFA as a member of the Illinois State FFA Band, Trayce is taking his talents to the national stage at the National FFA Convention!

Being selected for National FFA Band is an incredible honor. Trayce will perform alongside talented FFA members from across the country while representing Warrensburg-Latham FFA and Illinois FFA.

What an accomplishment and what a way to represent WL! We could not be more proud of you, Trayce!

Last Sunday, the Warrensburg-Latham FFA Officer Team came together for our annual officer training and planning session. Throughout the day, officers worked on building stronger relationships as a team, learned more about the responsibilities and expectations that come with serving our chapter, and began planning many of the exciting events and activities our members will see this year.

This is just one of many planning sessions we’ll have throughout the year as we work to provide meaningful opportunities for our members and community. We have an outstanding group of student leaders, and we’re excited to see what this team accomplishes.

Here’s to a great year ahead for Warrensburg-Latham FFA!

Congratulations to our Warrensburg-Latham FFA members who represented our chapter today at the Section 16 FFA Fair at the Christian County Fairgrounds in Taylorville!

Trayce McFadden (who is at FFA Camp this week) competed in the poultry division, where entries were evaluated through photographs. He did a phenomenal job showcasing his beautiful Sebright and Chocolate Orphingtons and the hard work he has put into his SAE project.

Congratulations to Jack Sellmeyer, who competed in the cattle division and earned Reserve Champion Overall Heifer and Champion Varsity Showmanship!

Both students have invested countless hours into their SAE projects, and we’re proud of them for representing Warrensburg-Latham FFA and showcasing their hard work at the Section 16 FFA Fair. Congratulations, Trayce and Jack!

FFA Members: Tomorrow Saturday, July 18 is the Warrensburg Corn Fest parade! Line up 9am at WLES, wear an FFA Shirt! Noel Jacobs, her dad Stuart, and Kipten Thurman did a great job on the float, and we’d love to have as many members as possible to fill it up! 🌽

Oliver Harris will be heading to Washington, D.C. this week to attend the Washington Leadership Conference through the Washington Leadership Conference with Illinois FFA Association and the National FFA Organization.

This incredible opportunity focuses on leadership development, civic engagement, and service, giving FFA members the chance to explore our nation’s capital, connect with students from across the country, and take part in meaningful hands-on service projects.

Way to go, Oliver! Oliver is the perfect FFA Member to represent WL FFA at our Nation's Capital!

A huge thank you to the Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters WLC Scholarship and the WL FFA Alumni and Supporters sponsorship for making this experience possible for Oliver. Your support opens doors for students to grow as leaders and make a lasting impact.

We’re excited to see Oliver learns and brings back to our chapter! 🇺🇸🌟

Day three of the 98th Illinois State FFA Convention was another great day of leadership, reflection, and celebrating the Illinois FFA organization.

We kicked off the day with the State Officer Elections, where our two delegates, Kipten Thurman and Andrew Cornett, had the opportunity to represent our chapter and vote on the upcoming leadership for our state organization. What a great experience for them to be involved in the future of Illinois FFA!

We also enjoyed another awesome performance from the Illinois FFA State Band, with Trayce McFadden doing a fantastic job representing our chapter. We then attended the retiring session of the major state officers and reflected on the incredible year of growth, leadership, and accomplishments that Illinois FFA has had.

After an amazing few days of learning, networking, and making memories, our group headed home with new ideas and inspiration to bring back to our chapter and community.

A huge thank you to the Warrensburg-Latham FFA Alumni and Supporters for providing funds for all of our meals throughout the week. Your support helps make opportunities like this possible for our members, and we are so grateful!

Sorry for the late post! We have been having some technical difficulties with posting on Facebook lately, but we wanted to make sure we shared about another great day at Illinois State FFA Convention.

Day two started bright and early with recognizing Oliver Harris as a recipient of the Illinois FFA alumni scholarship to attend Washington Leadership Conference in Washington DC!

We attended awesome convention sessions where we heard from inspiring speakers, celebrated FFA members from across the state, and watched some incredible award recognitions. Our members brought back lots of great ideas for SAE projects and community service projects that we can continue to grow within our chapter.

Our students also had the opportunity to attend the college fair and connect with colleges from across the state and beyond that offer amazing agricultural opportunities. It was a great chance for them to explore future pathways and learn more about the many options available in agriculture.

We also got to watch Trayce McFadden perform with the Illinois FFA State Band, and he did an amazing job representing our chapter! Another highlight was watching Oliver Harris take the initiative to volunteer with the Illinois FFA Courtesy Corps during convention. She helped organize awards backstage and assisted by holding doors open for attendees throughout convention. What a great example of leadership and serving others!

To wrap up the day, the group celebrated Andrew Cornett’s birthday with delicious mini Bundt cakes! We spent some time team building at an escape room where we had to escape a haunted cabin. The team worked together, had a lot of laughs, and made it out unscathed with plenty of time left! We ended the night back at the hotel enjoying some pool time and visiting with other FFA members from around the state.

Another great day of learning, leadership, and making memories at State Convention!
