The Kemp Sanctuary at Nettle Meadow

03/11/2026

We have some lovely, healthy sheep up for adoption! 🐑 Our flock consists of 3 wethers and 9 ewes that are all East Friesian, except for one Katahdin ewe who never requires shearing!
The one condition: they are extremely attached to our two llamas, Katie & Cyrus, so they must go as a group. 🦙♥️🐑

If you are interested in making these sweet critters yours, email [email protected] or call (518)696-6184! 💌

Wondering what we have to offer during Thurman Maple Days?🍁 Our very own Lorraine Lambiase gave our friends "The Sasquatchicas" the full run-down on what our sanctuary will be doing during these three weekends of MAPLE! It's always fun to hear from the owners, and Lorraine will be there every weekend of Maple Days to chat with our visitors. Come meet the animals, snack on award-winning cheese, and tour Thurman's maple farms! 🌲🐄🍁

Have you met our llamas Katie & Cyrus?🦙
They are both 10 years old and have been part of the Nettle Meadow family since 2021!
Katie and Cyrus came from an East Friesian sheep farm in Norwell, Massachusetts where they safeguarded a small flock of sheep. It only seemed fit that the flock of sheep moved with them, and they have been a happy family ever since! Katie & Cyrus are such devoted guard llamas that they quickly warmed up to our pre-existing flock of retired sheep and welcomed them into their "pack"! 🦙🫶🐑
Tempered, easy to handle, trustworthy and loyal; these llamas would be a great addition to any farm as they are so adaptable to others! These two are a bundle deal and cannot be re-homed without their pack of East Friesian sheep (12 sheep total).🐑
