On this Patriots Day, 24 years later, a tough day for many every year, we remember the 2,996 men and women who lost their lives in the cowardly attack on our Nation. Of those men and women lost, we honor the countless hero’s that attempted to make a difference that day, embodying what it mean to be a true patriot, from help in the simplest forms of kindness to paying the ultimate sacrifice, we honor and remember you!

Of those hero’s on that day:
343 firefighters and EMT
71 Law Enforcement Officers
55 Service Members
Never returned to the ones they loved.

Since that day we remember those who succumbed to illness and are fighting as a result of the environmental effects of the attack, this list includes a handful of our local friends and family.
Within a days the United States would engage in war that would officially last 2 decades and truthfully continues on today. We are grateful for the many men and women from our local area who answered and continue to the answer to serve our nation during the Global War on Terror. Over these 20 years 7,085 service members would be killed in action, including a few of our local friends and family members .

Warrensburg has never forgotten, as tonight we well come together as a community to honor and remember those lost on and since that day as a result of these attacks.
Most importantly we would like to thank the true Americans, the Americans who make it an honor to serve our communities and nation, the biggest way to say “thank you for your service” is to continue to be the hard working, patriotic Americans you are and we thank you for that!
