Your generosity is still making an impact. 💙

In 2017, the WMMC Foundation made its first major donation to Western Missouri Medical Center: $60,000 toward a new telemedicine robot.

Nearly a decade later, that investment is still helping patients receive specialized care at WMMC. Telemedicine technology allows doctors to see and talk with patients from another location through a screen, making it easier to connect patients with specialists when they are needed.

Today, this technology helps connect WMMC patients with doctors who specialize in neurology, infectious diseases, behavioral health, newborn care and psychiatry. Additional telemedicine robots help connect patients with hospital physicians and specialists in cardiology, kidney care, lung care and critical care.

These tools allow physicians and specialists to consult with patients and support their care at WMMC, even when they can't be here in person.

What an incredible evening! 🧡

Thank you to everyone who joined us for The Top 10 Unknowns of Estate Planning. We were thrilled to see such a great turnout, with people from a wide range of ages and stages of life coming together to learn, ask questions and plan for the future.

Our panel of local life-planning experts shared practical insight on everything from wills and probate to protecting loved ones and creating a thoughtful plan for the future. With so many great questions throughout the evening, it was clear just how valuable these conversations can be at any stage of life.

Meet the team behind the Western Missouri Medical Center Foundation!👭

As we continue to grow and support the future of healthcare in our community, we wanted to reintroduce the Foundation staff who help make it all happen.

✨ Tara Carlyle, Executive Director of the WMMC Foundation
Tara leads the Foundation’s philanthropic efforts, working alongside donors, community partners, the Foundation Board, and hospital leadership to support the needs of Western Missouri Medical Center and strengthen healthcare in our community. In fact, Tara celebrated her 20-year anniversary today at WMMC! 

✨ Amy Walters, Communication Assistant
Amy is the heart of the day-to-day work that keeps the Foundation moving. From coordinating events and supporting donors to managing communications, assisting with projects, and jumping in wherever she’s needed, Amy plays an essential role in making sure all the details are taken care of. She is always behind the scenes making things happen and helping bring the Foundation’s work to life.

Together, Tara and Amy are excited to continue building relationships, sharing the impact of giving, and helping make a difference for WMMC and the patients we serve.

We’re grateful for the community that continues to support the Foundation and the important work happening at Western Missouri Medical Center. 💙

Good food, good company and a whole lot of gratitude! ❤️

On Monday, we celebrated WMMC employees who give through the CAREgivers Club with a BBQ as a small way to say thank you for all they do.

The CAREgivers Club is the employee-giving program of the Western Missouri Medical Center Foundation. Through their contributions, WMMC employees help support their coworkers, patients, visitors and the hospital community.

A portion of CAREgivers donations provides emergency assistance to WMMC employees through the Employee CARE Relief Fund, while the remainder supports Foundation projects that enhance WMMC.

We’re grateful for the employees who choose to give back and make a difference through the CAREgivers Club. It was a joy to celebrate them!

And a special thank-you to our amazing WMMC Auxiliary members for donating cookies and making dessert extra sweet! 🍪
