🇺🇸🦅 Last night was a wonderful evening as we officially dedicated our new America 250 Mural in downtown Warren! 🇺🇸

Thank you to the nearly 60 community members who joined us to celebrate this special addition to our downtown. Your support and enthusiasm continue to inspire the work we do through Historic Warren Main Street.

The evening began with a welcome from Historic Warren Main Street Board Member Becky Souder, followed by introductions of our talented local artists, mural artist Bruce Winters and woodcarving artist Ron Bradford(RB Custom Carvings).

A special thank you to the Miss Warren Queen and Court for leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance, and to Barry Jamison for his beautiful performance of our National Anthem.

Historic Warren Main Street Board Member Ben Warpup shared the meaning behind the many elements of the mural and introduced a fun challenge for everyone. Hidden throughout the mural are 50 stars, representing the 50 states of America. Some are easy to spot, while others are partially concealed. We invite everyone to stop by, take your time, and see if you can find all 50!

Visitors also enjoyed delicious America 250 cookies, baked and donated by Heritage Pointe of Warren. As a keepsake everyone received a commemorative America 250 button, designed by mural artist Bruce Winters.

We also encouraged everyone to take a short two-block walk south to experience our newest public art installation, “Echoes of the Past, A Visual Journey” Storytelling Project, which was also installed yesterday. This project celebrates the people, places, and memories that have shaped our community.

Yesterday also marked the launch of our new website: www.historicwarrenindiana.org. We will continue adding names, dates, and historical information to the photographs featured on the Storytelling Project, so be sure to check back often as we continue to grow this resource.

Thank you again to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and continues to support Historic Warren Main Street. Because of your encouragement, we can continue creating projects that preserve our history, celebrate our community, and make downtown Warren a welcoming place for everyone.

We hope you enjoy both of our newest art installations for years to come!
