Leadership Warren County is a professional development organization in Warren County, PA.

Leadership Warren County is a nine-month curriculum to bring caring, community-minded people together from across the County in an effort to form partnerships to improve the economic vitality and quality of life in Warren County. The program exists to foster a commitment to community trusteeship, and to aquaint participants with the County's resources, assets, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities

and threats. The program is comprised of the following four components:

Retreats: scheduled to study and discuss overarching issues, to develop skills, and to bond, which is a very important feature of the program. Executive skills development: an important feature if participants are to make an impact. Sessions will be offered on such topics as strategic planning, program development, grant writing, communications, leadership, cooperation and collaboration, community-building, visioning, etc. Community Impact Projects: an important component of the program because they instill the message that this is all about impacting the County in a positive way. Participants will work in small groups to plan and perhaps implement a project that helps some sector of Warren County. Community Awareness Sessions: involve introducing participants to the various resources and assets of Warren County—businesses, human service agencies, health care, the government sector, the banking industry, the justice system, the insurance industry, the education system, the utilities, the media, etc. The purpose of these sessions is to introduce participants to the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, challenges, and issues facing various sectors.

to 2014, when Chase Putnam shared his Warren County history presentation with the Leadership Warren County class!

Today, that tradition continues through his daughter, Ellen Paquette, who uses the photographs, stories, and knowledge she learned from her father to bring our community’s history to life for each new class.

As we celebrate Leadership Warren County’s 20th anniversary, moments like this remind us of the people who have shaped the program and the meaningful traditions that continue from one generation to the next. Thank you to Chase and Ellen for helping our participants understand and appreciate the history of Warren County!

🌪️ Well… that was an interesting way to kick off History Day! 😅

The Leadership Warren County Class of 2027 had a memorable start to today’s session. Between a tornado warning and sirens sounding right around the time everyone was supposed to be traveling to our meeting space, Mother Nature definitely had other plans for us!

Thankfully, the weather cleared, everyone arrived safely, and we were able to get started just a little later than planned.

We were fortunate to spend the morning with Ellen Paquette, who shared her incredible knowledge of Warren County’s history—how our community has changed over the years, the people and industries that helped shape it, and some fascinating stories and photos from Warren’s past.

History Day feels especially meaningful this year as Leadership Warren County celebrates its 20th consecutive class. For two decades, this program has been helping participants better understand the community they live and work in, build connections with one another, and develop the knowledge and relationships needed to help shape Warren County’s future.

There’s something pretty special about celebrating 20 years of Leadership Warren County while spending the day learning about the generations of people, businesses, industries, and organizations that helped build the community we have today. We’re proud to make LWC’s own history while learning Warren County’s. 💙

Unfortunately, the weather meant our planned walking tour of downtown Warren had to be postponed. But we’re a flexible group, and we’ll get it rescheduled!

And considering how the morning started, we think it’s safe to say the Class of 2027’s History Day made a little history of its own! 🌪️☀️

🎉 20 Years of Leadership Warren County! 🎉

Today we officially welcomed the Leadership Warren County Class of 2027 during our Meet & Greet at Oakland Cemetery—and this class is an extra special one.

The Class of 2027 marks the 20th consecutive class to participate in Leadership Warren County! 💙 💚

For two decades, this program has brought together individuals who want to learn more about Warren County, build meaningful connections, strengthen their leadership skills, and become more active in shaping the future of our community. When Leadership Warren County was first envisioned, the goal was to prepare people to “take the leadership baton” and become active trustees of our community. Twenty classes later, that mission continues.

There was something especially fitting about beginning this milestone year at Oakland Cemetery—learning about some of the people who helped shape Warren County in the past while welcoming a new group of leaders who will help shape what comes next.

Throughout this year, we’ll be celebrating 20 years of Leadership Warren County by looking back at the people, places, lessons, and moments that have made this program what it is today. We’ll reconnect with alumni, share memories from past classes, and highlight the impact Leadership Warren County graduates continue to have throughout our community.

To the Class of 2027: you are now part of that story, and we can’t wait to see where this year takes you!

Here’s to 20 classes, 20 years of connections and leadership—and the next generation of leaders stepping forward to take the baton. 🎉

There’s no better way to learn about Warren County than to get out and experience it! 🌳🏘️

Leadership Warren County takes participants beyond the conference room and behind the scenes of the places, organizations, industries, and people that make our community what it is.

Leadership doesn’t end at graduation. It grows. 💙

It’s always inspiring to see our Leadership Warren County alumni continuing to come together to make a difference. This group recently met to collaborate, strategize, and plan their class project—demonstrating that the relationships, leadership skills, and passion for Warren County built during the program continue long after the class ends.

🌟 Leadership Warren County: Finding Home Through Leadership 🌟

When Haley Zdarko moved to Warren County in 2020, she was looking for a place to call home. Through Leadership Warren County, she found so much more than a leadership program—she found connections, friendships, opportunities to serve, and a deeper understanding of the community she now proudly calls her own.

From exploring the history of Warren County and learning how local organizations operate, to building professional relationships and discovering new ways to make a difference, Haley embraced every opportunity the program had to offer.

Her story is a wonderful reminder of what Leadership Warren County is all about: helping people connect, grow, and become more engaged leaders in our community.

🌟 Leadership Warren County Spotlight: Liz D’Orsa Tray 🌟

When Liz D’Orsa Tray joined Leadership Warren County, she brought with her a unique perspective shaped by experiences beyond Warren County. Having grown up on Long Island and later living in Jamestown, NY, Liz recently made Warren her home and embraced the opportunity to learn more about the community she now calls her own.

Through Leadership Warren County, Liz built meaningful connections, gained a deeper understanding of our region, and discovered just how special Warren County truly is.

As Liz shared:
