This pic demonstrates the kind of partnerships which exist in Freedom Dreamers. Our guest worship leader was not available yesterday for Off Paper Party #8 at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Lansing, so the gifted Thor Garborg grabbed the microphone, stood in the gap, and assisted me. Unplanned, successful worship! His face says it all!

Congratulations to Rance Pennington (Pic #1) who celebrated getting off paper (parole) at our Off Paper Party today at St. David's Episcopal Church in Lansing. Folks from all over the state met to celebrate his freedom, and all of our freedom in Christ, together. Special thanks to Scott Rose (pic #3) for emceeing the event, Kristine Davidson (pic #4) for bringing the Word, and to all who provided the great food. The cake in pic #2 comes from Elliott’s Bakery in Trenton... thank you Kristine Davidson.

We still have room at Off Paper Party #8. Some fun facts... 1. Half of those will attend are returning citizens. 2. If you come you will eat well, laugh well, and some may even cry well. 3. Freedom (In Christ) will shared by all on behalf of our 3 guests of honor. It's not too late to RSVP [email protected] if you would like to come.

We are looking forward to our 7th Off Paper Party, Saturday, May 13, 2023. This one is being held at “The Road Gathering Place”, 3217 108th St., Byron Center, MI 48092.
We’ll be celebrating the freedom of at least five guests of honor who recently got off parole. The event is from noon-3pm., but the doors open at 11:00am to give people gathering from all over the state and our guests from Ohio opportunities to fellowship. A Barbeque lunch is provided, followed by worship and preaching, lead by returning citizens. Then the highlight of our Off Paper Parties is hearing testimonies about of how the experience of living “free in Christ” is going for our returning citizens. We have a few seats left. Please RSVP no later May 11 for food count to [email protected] You may also inquire about car pools coming from various parts of Michigan and Ohio.

Easter Joy! So grateful how Royal Oak First United Methodist Church has embraced Freedom Freedom Dreamers. Special thanks to Pastor Jeff Nelson and Velvet Jones. Thomas White told his courageous story today and knocked it out of the park as we met for Second Saturday Fresh Expressions Worship.
