End child marriage. Child marriage enslaves girls and young women. Marriage before puberty can create life long trauma and damage to girls bodies that goes unrepaired.

Army Community Service (ACS) Honors Military Spouses & recognizes Military Spouse Appreciation Day on 12 May 2017:

Monday, May 8th:
Military Spouse Appreciation Day in the United States
The Friday before Mother's Day in the United States is observed as Military Spouse Appreciation Day. It is a day to acknowledge the significant others of military personnel who hold the fort down at home while their partners are protecting the country.

The first Military Spouse Appreciation Day was observed on May 23, 1984. It was established as a one-off observance through a proclamation by President Ronald Reagan. The day was later made into an annual observance by Secretary of Defense Casper Weinberger. In 1999, the U.S. Congress declared May as National Military Month to acknowledge the service of the men and women in the military.

Military Spouse Appreciation Day, which is also sometimes known as Military Spouse Day, aims to bring national attention to the role that military spouses play in maintaining the morale of the military and in supporting their significant others while they serve the country.

Army Community Service (ACS) Honors Military Spouses
Beginning the week of May 8 and running through May 12, 2017 ACS will be sending daily email blasts with important Military Spouse information. Please take the time to read the daily email and learn a little bit about life as a Military Spouse.

How Can YOU Honor a Spouse? Thank a Military Spouse for their unofficial duty in service to our country. Consider donating time or money to a charity that serves our Military Spouse population. Take time out of your day on May 12, 2017 to post to your social media accounts in recognition of the Military Spouse.

Check out the women of The View's conversation, may be searched by "behar trump fake news" to get an excerpt from the show where the women discuss the CNN - Buzzfeed actions which were not the same, the responsibility of journalism/journalists at this unique point in history, and POETUS' trying to shut down the press. You will learn something and be proud these women can find smart, thoughtful consensus. We need this. Our country needs this. I never thought to say it before, WE NEED THE WOMEN OF THE VIEW!
PS. Whoopi's "Michelle 2020" shirt was pretty awesome too.

Federally Employed Women (FEW)
Congratulates Donald J. Trump
On Becoming the 45th President of the United States of America

I would like to congratulate Republican Nominee Donald J. Trump on winning the Presidential Election.

FEW believes this hard-fought campaign has increased awareness for continued dialog in order to begin the process of uniting around our common concerns, and less about those things that divide us. We look forward to engaging the new Republican Administration in a meaningful discussion about workforce issues, including paid parental-leave, which Mr. Trump supports. FEW continues to champion issues for federal workers who are women to ensure that they are fairly compensated and the agencies they work for are adequately funded. FEW believes our government agencies play an integral role in the lives of U.S. citizens here and abroad, as well as the security of our nation.

FEW looks forward to working with Mr. Trump to help address these important issues affecting women in the Federal Workforce, as well as all Americans.
