Welcome Officer Penick!

Howland Police Department would like to congratulate our newest patrol officer, Aeydin Penick, on being sworn in. Aeydin’s father, Brian, is a firefighter with the Howland Fire Department. This hiring brings the police department to full staffing.

Howland Police FOP Lodge 163 accepted a $783 check from Mission BBQ in Howland this week. We are very grateful for the continued partnership and support from Mission BBQ. All proceeds stem from sales of their Hometown Hero cups at the check-out counter. The money will be used to continue our mission through donations, public events, charity support, and scholarships. We are now taking sponsors for our 3rd annual Howland Police FOP Lodge 163 golf outing! If you or your business or place of employment would be interested, please reach out. We could not continue our mission without your continued support. All proceeds go to scholarships, safety days for kids, food drives, senior citizen dinners, our shop with a cop program, and many other monetary donations we make through the year to our schools, people in need, local animal shelters, local missions, etc. Please share and spread the word! If there’s one thing we love it’s Shop With A Cop day! The smiles on their faces are why we do it all. A big thank you to Meijer in Howland for everything, Salvatore’s at the Eastwood Mall for the food and drinks for the kids, and to Howland Schools staff and other adults who came to lend a hand. It was a great time!

FOP Lodge 163 held a holiday dinner event last night for 100 of our senior residents at our SCOPE Center. It was a great event that helped us say thank you and build relationships with the community. A big thank you to everyone who helped with the event and to Dilucia’s Catering on Elm Rd. for donating all of the amazing food!

Howland FOP Lodge 163 is very thankful for our continued partnership with Mission BBQ in Howland.
