Queen for a Day! Foundation Our mission is to make a differrence in the lives of women, literally, "One day at a Time!" What is a Coronation Day? Caught by surprise, The Queen for a Day!

The heart and soul of what we do takes place four times per year on coronation day! This is the day where all of the hard work and effort of our volunteers blesses someone and changes their life forever! The coronation ceremony kicks off with all of the pomp and circumstance that a coronation should include! will be placed upon her throne made of red velvet and adorned with her sash and crown. As

she is sitting on her throne, various friends and family members will read tributes as to why she is worthy of such an honor. Following the coronation, The Queen will receive the royal treatment. She will proceed from one stop to the next which will include posh meals, spa treatments, a make-over and several other fun and fabulous experiences. In her absence, our group of volunteers will be working to coordinate and implement her dinner. It is at this dinner that her largest wishes will be granted. At the completion of the evening The Queen will also be given gifts that “keep on giving.” Working with local agencies, churches, and partners, we will provide on-going support services that will assist her with what she needs to reach her personal goals; including schooling, assistance program, child care, or whatever her specific needs may be to propel her to a better life. How can I nominate a woman to be crowned Queen for a Day? Anyone can nominate someone to become a Queen for a Day! The nominations, can be submitted by completing an application, which can be downloaded off of our website or requested via e-mail. Or for the purpose of Facebook, one can follow the guidelines below and send in an essay including the information below to [email protected] in a Word document. Nominee’s name
Your Name, phone, secondary phone, and e-mail
Your relationship to the nominee
An essay containing the answers to the following questions:
1. Why do you believe your nominee should be crowned “Queen for A Day?”

2.What are the challenges that this woman is currently facing?

3.What are some of the needs that The Queen for a Day! Foundation can assist with at this time? For example; household needs, financial obligations, medical care ect.?

I just wrapped up my Valentine Model Session and this one absolutely made my day.

Heritage Florist graciously provided the flower bouquets for this Valentine Box, and this little cutie made the MOST of every single prop. Pink sunglasses (her favorite color) — check. Rocking chair that fit her just right — check. Calling grandma on the red lips phone to report how much fun she was having — absolutely.
After we got all the must-have shots, she threw in a full dance party in the box and ended with the sweetest curtsy (bottom right). I mean… come on.
Huge thank-you to Heritage Florist for the beautiful florals. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and they are taking pre-orders now — don’t wait until the last minute. Girlfriend, wife, mom, sister, best friend, daughter, teacher, mentor… whoever came to mind while reading this — flowers are always the right answer.
Session joy like this is exactly why I do what I do.

Dear God, Thank you for the gift of children. Please watch over them as they go back to school this year. Keep them safe every day. Help them to remember that you are right there with them in the halls and classrooms. Help them soak up good knowledge and to dimiss any negative or worldly messages they may hear. On behalf of The Queen for a Day Foundation, a great big Thank you to Mayor Doug Franklin for taking the time to visit with our most recent Queen Betty Strawderman and her angels! They toured our beautiful city hall and had a great day! Also, a great big thank you to Ms. Liz Clark who selflessly dedicates herself to educating Warren City School children about Warren's history. She served as the tour guide! And finally, a big bravo to our board member Mrs. Kisha Price-Jackson, who coordinated this entire day!
