The heart and soul of what we do takes place four times per year on coronation day! This is the day where all of the hard work and effort of our volunteers blesses someone and changes their life forever! The coronation ceremony kicks off with all of the pomp and circumstance that a coronation should include! will be placed upon her throne made of red velvet and adorned with her sash and crown. As she is sitting on her throne, various friends and family members will read tributes as to why she is worthy of such an honor. Following the coronation, The Queen will receive the royal treatment. She will proceed from one stop to the next which will include posh meals, spa treatments, a make-over and several other fun and fabulous experiences. In her absence, our group of volunteers will be working to coordinate and implement her dinner. It is at this dinner that her largest wishes will be granted. At the completion of the evening The Queen will also be given gifts that “keep on giving.” Working with local agencies, churches, and partners, we will provide on-going support services that will assist her with what she needs to reach her personal goals; including schooling, assistance program, child care, or whatever her specific needs may be to propel her to a better life. How can I nominate a woman to be crowned Queen for a Day? Anyone can nominate someone to become a Queen for a Day! The nominations, can be submitted by completing an application, which can be downloaded off of our website or requested via e-mail.
