We want to acknowledge this awesome note from Alison Riner about her recent donation to Feeding the Front Lines:

"My husband has been selling our firewood to collect money in support of our first responders. When we have $100 we match it and provide a local group with a $200 donation. We have already given donations to the Rescue Squad, Fire Department and Overlook Hospital. Thank you for all that you are doing and we hope this donation will help provide more meals. We were thrilled to have our Watchung neighbors join us in our FEEDING THE FRONT LINES CAMPAIGN! Here's an awesome update from Lisa Irving about her kids' fundraiser and donation!

"This morning my children, Jordan and Tyler Irving helped deliver lunch from Marino's Trattoria in Watchung. Marino’s prepared delicious meals and were excited to support their community and make lunch for the Watchung Police Department . When we delivered the meals several Watchung Police Officers came out to express their gratitude and appreciation for lunch, and the efforts of everyone involved in feeding the frontlines. 👮‍♂️🚓

This was an especially meaningful delivery for Jordan and Tyler because of their involvement with “Lifting Spirts”- the fundraiser in Watchung and Warren where they, along with local families and businesses donated money to have balloons with uplifting messages hung throughout both towns. 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈
They were able to raise money to have balloons hung at 25 locations. Balloon Design Studio in Berkeley Heights created all of the balloon messages and generously donated 20% of the money raised to WarrenCares. Jordan and Tyler appreciated having the opportunity to be involved today as delivering lunch from a local restaurant to our Police Station was a great way to end their fundraiser.

Cathy Cooper Miller shared some thoughts on her last delivery:
Is this the light at the end of the tunnel? Although we are cautiously starting to venture out, there still isn't a vaccine or cure for Covid-19.
Restaurants are serving their patrons with newly fabricated outdoor seating, and the residents are beginning to happily eat outside their homes.
As a community we gathered funds and resources as we sheltered at home. We found a way to support our local restaurants by feeding the healthcare workers that tirelessly worked to heal those stricken with the Corona Virus.
Fortunately, in New Jersey due to declining cases, Covid units in hospitals have slowly shut down. With our community efforts we honored those that sacrificed their own health to care for others. Tonight I had the privilege of delivering meals from Prezzo Italian Restaurant to the Warren Township Rescue Squad.
It has been an honor to volunteer my time to make these deliveries over the last several months. Thank you to those that donated their time, money and energy to make this all happen! 👨‍⚕️🚑👩🏼‍⚕️ . .

Announcing a special delivery to the everyday Front Line teams who hadn't received a meal but are on call every day Covid or no Covid! 🚓👮‍♂️😷👮🏿‍♂️

"Not sure if this is final delivery but my daughter Stefani and I picked up from Prezzo Italian Restaurant - who each time has been so organized and accommodating! They are setting up their tables in the parking lot and spent $$$ on shrubs and trees to make it more private and nice! I told them I would be back to dine!
We delivered to the Warren Township - NJ Police Department d who was so gracious and happy to have the food. It has been our honor to help ALL the front line workers who have made such a difference!! And a huge shout out to all the organizers who made all these deliveries happen! Well done!

Yup it's one of the last meals to go out as we wind down and our state is working hard to eradicate this nasty pandemic.
