Thank you to all the help today taking down our rink for the season. Glen & Evan nice to meet you. It was a great rink season, and we hope mother nature allows us another great year this next season.

We are seeking a new Rink Attendant for this up coming winter season, without that we won't be able to have a rink. So, please share this around. Job description below.

Job Title: Parks and Recreation – Ice Rink Attendant
Department: Parks and Recreation
Reports To: Public Works Director/Parks and Recreation President
Employment Type: Part-time (Winter Season)
Location: Warner, NH

Job Summary
The Town of Warner is seeking a qualified individual for a part-time Parks and Recreation Seasonal Laborer. The Parks and Recreation Department operate under the Public Works Department. This position involves physical outdoor work and assisting with the maintenance and operation of seasonal recreational facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assisting with the winter ice rink operations, including clearing snow during weather events
• Surfacing and maintaining ice conditions
• Maintaining and monitoring the warming hut
• Providing general oversight and upkeep of the rink during the season
• Operating landscape tools, power tools, and snowblowers
• Performing general labor and maintenance tasks as assigned

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or recreation (a plus)
• Ability to perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
• Good communication skills and customer service attitude
• Valid driver’s license

Working Conditions
• Outdoor and indoor environments
• Exposure to weather, dust, and various terrains
• Physical work including lifting, bending, walking, and using tools/equipment

Well folks, the season was amazing for the ice rink, but as of Tuesday, it’s a rap! The rink will be open Tuesday, closing that night for the season. Thank you to all the volunteers and especially Ian our rink attendant for doing such a great job this season! We hope mother nature grants us another great season next winter.

We will be in need to hire a new rink attendant for next winter, please reach out if you are interested. Without that, we wont be able to have a rink.

We will be looking for some help come time to take it down, keep checking in here!

Rink Hours today through the weekend with the warmer temps:
Thursday (2/26): open til noon
Friday (2/27): opened in morning closed at noon
Saturday (2/28): closed
Sunday (3/1): opened in morning

We will be keeping an eye on the ice this week as the temps will be on the rise. If the ice is too soft, we will have to close it for a bit.
