Our museum focuses on Native American culture across North America. Group tours are available during the winter by calling and making an appointment.

We are the only Native museum located in New Hampshire, and are ranked in the top ten Native American museums in the country. Open May 1 through October 31st
Monday through Saturday from 10AM - 4PM
Sundays from 12 noon - 4PM

The museum is open every Friday through April 30th. Please call 603-456-2600 to arrange a time and date. Looking for a fun and creative experience? Here's your chance!
One of the special offerings in the Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum's Fall Auction is a Coiled Basket Weaving Workshop for You and Up to Five Guests!

Join instructor Kristen Oser for a four-hour, hands-on introduction to this ancient art form, practiced by Indigenous peoples around the world for thousands of years. You'll learn the fundamentals of coiled basket weaving and create your own beautiful wool basket to take home. All materials are included!
Generously donated by Kristen Oser, this workshop takes place at the Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum in Warner, NH.

The Museum's Annual Fall Auction runs November 6–15, 2026, featuring more than 50 wonderful items and experiences. Bidding closes November 15 at 5:00 p.m.

We're counting down to the Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum's Annual Fall Auction, and we're excited to share a preview of one of this year's special offerings! Bidding goes live November 6 at 5 p.m.

Bald Eagle Nest — Leather Maple Leaf Art

Bring a touch of the wilderness into your home with this beautiful, handmade leather maple leaf by New Hampshire artist Jan Hibbard of Log Cabin Leather by Jan. Measuring approximately 10 inches in diameter, this unique piece features a detailed scene of bald eagles at their nest, surrounded by woodland trees and blue water. Each detail has been carefully carved, hand-painted, and shaped in leather, with raised elements that bring the scene to life.
Jan's leatherworking journey began in 1977 and has grown into a lifelong passion for creating nature-inspired artwork and accessories from her New Hampshire log cabin studio. Her work celebrates the beauty of the outdoors and the memories we hold dear.

This would make a wonderful gift for a bird lover or a beautiful addition to a nature-inspired home!

Come see Adornments That Adapt before it ends!

There’s still time to plan your visit to Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum! We’re open every day through October, making now the perfect time to explore our exhibits, discover the rich histories and living cultures of Native American peoples, and enjoy a meaningful cultural experience this fall. Don’t miss your last chance to see our seasonal exhibition, Adornments that Adapt! This special exhibition will be coming down in November, so be sure to stop by before it’s gone.

Beginning in November, we’ll transition to our winter hours, opening Fridays and Saturdays through April. Whether you’re planning one last autumn outing or a winter visit, we look forward to welcoming you!

Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum will host its Annual 2026 Autumn Auction Fundraiser online from November 6 through November 15, 2026, featuring over 50 exciting items to bid on, including a gourmet gift basket, a beading workshop, original artwork, sterling silver and turquoise jewelry, gift certificates to restaurants and ski lessons, handcrafted pieces by Native artists, and many more!

The auction helps support the museum’s educational programs, exhibits, and mission to promote understanding and appreciation of Native American history, culture, and living traditions.

Bidders can participate online throughout the week, with proceeds benefiting the nonprofit museum’s year-round efforts to offer exhibits, workshops, and events that connect people with Native heritage.

Make sure you come tour the galleries, eat traditional Native foods, walk the new accessible trail in Medicine Woods, and participate in many hands-on, family-friendly activities suitable for all ages! Native artists will be demonstrating their beautiful crafts all throughout the museum - you won't want to miss this.

We’re so pleased to welcome a beautiful new hemlock tree to Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum's grounds! The tree was recently planted along our new accessible trail by Pellettieri Associates, adding another special touch to this evolving space.

We’re grateful to for helping make our new trail and landscape even more beautiful. We look forward to watching this hemlock grow for years to come!
