💙 Self-care is not selfish—it’s essential.
The work we do at CASA of Houston County is deeply meaningful, but it can also be emotionally demanding. Our staff support volunteers, advocate for children, collaborate with community partners, plan programs, and work to ensure every child in foster care has a voice.
To continue serving others well, we must also take time to care for ourselves.
Self-care strengthens our resilience, prevents burnout, and allows us to re-center.
As we reflect on another year of changing children's stories, providing outreach, and creating partnerships, we are grateful for a team that leads with compassion, dedication, and heart. Taking care of ourselves allows us to continue caring for others and advancing our mission.
Yesterday, our ED and AC had an offsite staff meeting, “Celebrating Impact, Reflecting on Growth, and Planning for the Future. Afterward, Velicia and Hannah took some time to decompress in the Salt Room at Synergy Wellness & Bodycare. Thank you to our incredible duo for all you do each day. Your work matters, and so does your well-being. ❤️💙
