Huxley James is a 2-year-old Miniature Australian Shepherd who recently joined the Pawsome Southern Rescue family due to some unfortunate circumstances.
Right now, this sweet boy is experiencing a whole new world outside of everything he has ever known—and understandably, he is confused, nervous, and scared. 💔
Huxley is initially very fearful of adults and will need someone willing to give him the time and patience he needs to learn that he is safe. But here’s the amazing part… he LOVES children right off the bat! 🥹❤️ He also doesn’t seem to mind other dogs.
Huxley doesn’t need someone expecting him to walk up with his tail wagging and immediately ask for attention. He needs someone who will look past the scared little boy curled up in the corner and see the dog he can become once he finally feels safe.
He deserves a person or family willing to earn his trust, show him unconditional love, and give him the forever home he can count on for the rest of his life. A home where he never has to wonder if he’s going to be abandoned again.
When you see Huxley at PetSmart, there’s a good chance he’ll be curled up in the corner of his crate trying to make himself invisible. Please don’t let that make you pass him by. ❤️
If you’re interested in him, come meet him. Sit with him. Let him sit in your lap. Give him some love and a chance to realize that people can be safe and kind.
You may just walk into PetSmart to meet a scared little Aussie… and walk out having found your newest family member. 🥹🐾💙

His adoption fee is $350. We only do adoptions at Petsmart in Warner Robins on Saturdays from 11-3 and most Sundays from 12-4 and are a first come first approved application basis.
