Green Acres Day is a little over one week away!!!

First kid to get "home" wins!!! Parents are welcome to come play on your kid's team or against them in a winner-take-all, life-sized adventure! Sign up!!!

We are gearing up for the Fall! It's time to sign up to provide a meal. This summer, we have been reaching out to and building more relationships with teenagers in our community, and we are expecting great things this semester.

Beginning August 6, our youth (grades 6-12) will:

1. Meet in the Youth Room for youth worship at 6:15pm.
2. After youth worship, the gym doors will be open for food and games!

Right now, we are expecting between 25-35 students each Wednesday. Even if you don't provide a meal, we ask for prayer. Many of the students joining us have very little biblical knowledge and likely don't have relationships with Jesus. We also want to reach their families with the gospel.

Can't provide a meal by yourself? Team up with others, your Sunday School class, or donate any amount of money for the youth ministry here at GABC!!

Last week, a Green Acres Baptist Church legend was born when Jason Kicklighter was thrown from a whitewater raft on the Ocoee.

After splitting his shin on a rock, Jason pulled himself up and roared from atop the very stone that should have felled him. Hearing his victory-cry, an indeterminate number of bears emerged from the nearby forestry intent on one thing—Jason’s destruction.

Having no weapons available, Jason drew his own femur from the gash left by the deadly rock. With it, he fended off the growling multitude. Once the bear onslaught gave way, Jason the Bear Slayer reinserted his femur, folded his skin back over, and finished the rafting trip.

Later, he needed no cast. Chuck Norris and Liam Neeson called to welcome him to the league of legends. Jason simply commanded four staples to be placed so there would be no scars, and they obeyed. He will remove these staples with his own teeth because he doesn’t need a doctor.
