Join OSU Extension's Rosanna and Sara for an afternoon of drying roots and learning to make your own summer sausage.
When: Monday, May 4th 9am -1pm
Where: OSU Extension Kitchen
What you'll do:
✅ Prepare roots for drying and freezing
✅ Learn how to tell when they are dry enough for safe storage
✅ Make summer sausage from scratch

Lunch will be provided. Space is limited to 10 participants. Call or message us to reserve your spot.
HDFFA will provide freezer bags and mesh dryer for participants.

Join 4-H for a Virtual Babysitter Training Series starting April 14th. This series is for Oregon youth 11 and up who are interested in learning the skills needed for babysitting and to grow their confidence. This is an online series taught by 4-H faculty and staff from around the state.
Cost is $10 which includes the workbook needed for the classes. Scholarships are available.

Join OSU Extension for a FREE Salmon Preservation Workshop this Saturday (02/21) at 9am at the Education Building. We will practice how to pressure can salmon and also how to smoke salmon in an electric smoker. Participants will go home with their own jar of salmon and a sample of the smoked salmon.
Lunch is provided.

Have a pressure canner at home? Bring your lid to the workshop to have it tested for free. Pressure canner lids should be tested annually to make sure the gauge reads correctly.
