After the new roof, siding and porch were completed earlier this summer, now the new gutters and lattice porch trim are being installed… the exterior is almost done!

The renovation of the old ‘slaughterhouse’ turned Dr Pole’s Apothecary is just about complete.

We turned the place into an appropriately themed guest-house “an old doctor’s office” complete with 19th century antique medical tools and vintage apothecary-herbalist and medical gothic decor. Once it’s been refurnished and the balcony and porch are rebuilt we expect to open on Air BnB & VRBO by mid-Fall.

Outside we are planting a medicinal tea and herb garden to complete the aesthetic.

We hosted a women’s warrior wellness retreat this weekend. We welcomed to Virginia veterans who stayed with us and participated in a sound bath with Meta-Vibrations and Reiki and massage session with ‘Hot Stone Massage’. We thank both our practitioners for their time and positive energy with us. Afterwards, we enjoyed a 2-hour float at the Warm Springs Pools… a tranquil weekend, quieting our minds and enjoying the healing aspects of nature.

History of Healing Waters Inn…it began with the town Doctor, Henry Pole and sons, who practiced natural medicine. He constructed 2 beautiful Victorian Mansions in 1892 and 1899 to accommodate his large family…

To honor his legacy of healing, We are working to reconstruct and restore the home’s beauty and original structures with a new purpose…

The old carriage house in between the home and old slaughterhouse will be rebuilt as a carriage house with rooftop serenity deck and the slaughterhouse has been repurposed as an apartment. The old barn will be rebuilt to become a recreation room with movie theater, game & billiards room and classroom for wellness workshops…and the home’s basement will feature a day spa for guests to access natural healing remedies including a halotherapy-salt room, an Infra-red sauna, a steam room, a cold plunge whirlpool bath, a float tank and massage and pain relief equipment.

Before your arrival be sure to stop at the Falling Spring Falls overlook on Hwy 220. The falls viewing is magnificent any time of year and makes for an incredible photo op! You can also ask your host and hostess to take you on a photo safari of the areas waterfalls and scenic spots to remember your stay!
