If you have young children, this is a great opportunity to have your car seat inspected by certified child passenger safety technicians to ensure it is installed correctly and safely.

The Ocean Township Police Department invites you to our FREE Car Seat Checkpoint on June 18th from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Waretown Firehouse.

Our trained officers and child passenger safety technicians will inspect your child’s car seat, answer questions, and help ensure it is installed properly.

Busy day yesterday for the Waretown Vol. Fire Co. Multiple calls in our town followed by a mutual aid call for a structure fire in Lanoka Harbor Vol. Fire Co. #1. Great job by all the volunteers!

Confidence is increasing in some severe thunderstorms moving through later today. The main threat is damaging wind gusts, with storms beginning to develop and move in after 2 PM. Make sure you have ways to receive any warnings! And when thunder roars, go indoors!
