Thanks to all who helped pick wreaths up and clean up the cemeteries. Small but mighty group and we are so grateful for you all! I didn’t get many pictures but thanks to Maureen, Pauline and Sage, Alex, Bob with Tim and John, Dan, Amy and Stuart. (Sorry I forgot anyone!)

Well friends, most of the snow is gone, so it's time to recover the wreaths placed on our Veterans' graves. We will begin at 9 AM at Aspen Grove Cemetary this Saturday, 21 Mar 26. We will stay until all are picked up, and move to Holy Cross Polish National Cemetery, then to Quabbin Park. Bring a broom or rake, hockey stick, or other long pole tool to help carry more at one time.

Well, friends, too much snow still on the ground, so we will change the wreath retirement date from 7 MAR to 21 March, 9 AM starting at Aspen Grove. Hopefully, the ground will be bare! Don't forget to bring a rake, broom, or hockey stick to carry multiple wreaths. Hope to see you there!

Good morning Friends! We will retire the Wreaths Across America wreaths from Aspen Grove Cemetery, Holy Cross Polish National Cemetery, and Quabbin Park Cemetery on 7 March 2026, with an alternate date of 21 March 26 incase of bad weather or still frozen conditions. We will begin at Aspen Grove at 9 AM. Bring hockey sticks, rakes or brooms, or whatever you have to carry multiple wreaths from the honored grave sites to the roads. We have over 800 wreaths to pick up, so the more people available, the better. Hope to see you there!

Even though we just laid wreaths yesterday, we have to start thinking about NEXT Year!

Fundraising: NOTE THAT MATCHING IS A SHORTER WINDOW OF TIME! We are asking for your support to continue our fundraising efforts and increase our wreath count even more for 2026. Starting on National Wreaths Across America Day, Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, and running through Wednesday, December 31, 2025 - all wreaths sponsored through a registered WAA Sponsorship Group will be matched by HQ.

THANK YOU: to all the volunteers that met at Veterans Park and took time out to honor the veterans by attending the beautiful ceremony then going and laying wreaths around the cemeteries in Ware.To all those that sponsored a wreath and helped us reach our goal. We could not have done it without each and every one of you and we are so grateful!

We also had a generous donation of time from the Ware DPW and Parks Dept, the Patriot Guard Riders, who served as flag bearers and escorts, Ware Veterans Council, Ware High School Band, Scout Troops 281 and 11383, Kate Marceau, Kazmiryr Lagimoniere and Jack Gaudreau.

Our long-term goal is to honor all of the around 2,523 Veterans graves that arein the town of Ware. In 2023, we laid 532 wreaths at the four Ware municipalcemeteries (Aspen Grove, Church Street, two at the Meetinghouse) with the donations received. In 2024, we laid 826 adding Holy Cross and Quabbin Park Cemeteries. This year on December 13, 2025 we laid 852 at the four municipalcemeteries, Holy Cross and Quabbin Park. We will continue to raise money and encourage support to get to our goal of every Veteran grave but it might take us some time.

Come join us this morning to lay ceremonial wreaths in the Catholic Cemeteries in Ware. All are welcome, all are invited to participate. We will begin at Mt Carmel Cemetery at 915. We will place the wreaths, and Father will bless them. So excited to honor our Veterans today!

Wreaths have been delivered! Ceremony 12/13 at 10am at Veterans Park.
Plus, Catholic cemeteries with just ceremonial wreaths tomorrow (12/11). Father Piotr will bless starting at 9:15 Mt Carmel then move to Old St. William to New St. William to St. Mary’s.
