Councilwoman Valerie Jackson appointed Ware Shoals Mayor Pro Tem

WARE SHOALS, S.C. — Ware Shoals Town Council appointed Councilwoman Valerie Jackson as Mayor Pro Tem during its Aug. 18 meeting.

The position was previously held by Councilwoman Patty Walters.

Councilman Brandon White made the motion to appoint Jackson, which was approved by council.

Congratulations to Mayor Pro Tem Valerie Jackson on her new role serving the Town of Ware Shoals!

Graveside service for Ida “Pinky” Keller will be 11:00am Saturday, August 15, 2026 at the Dunn Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Donalds, South Carolina.

Viewing will be from 3pm-7pm Friday, August 14, 2026 in the Wilbur Robinson Memorial Chapel of the Robinson-Walker Funeral Service facility.

The family will receive friends at the home house of the Keller family located at 315 Dunn Creek Road.
