🏆 Behind the Scenes: A Big Thank You!
​We want to take a moment to shine a spotlight on the Puppies and Golf Grant! Thanks to their incredible generosity, the heavy construction phase of Mimi’s Pup Lodge is moving full steam ahead.
​From building the interior framing for our "private suites" to ensuring we have reliable, climate-controlled A/C, this grant is the foundation of our entire project. 👷‍♀️🐾
​As construction winds down, we are starting the "Lodge Design" phase. To make the vision in our third photo a reality, we need to gather the comfort and organization items that make this place feel like a home.

Hope’s puppies have arrived, and we are working around the clock to keep them healthy! While we are so happy they are safe, we are burning through supplies faster than we can restock. We are in immediate need of the following to care for this litter:

Our shed transformation is officially in full swing! We’ve already tackled the electrical and insulation, and now we’re moving on to the best part—turning this space into Mimi’s Cottage.

​Our vision is to create a true home-like environment where our rescue dogs can decompress and learn essential house manners before they head to their forever families. To make it even more special, we are decorating the Cottage in high-contrast blue and yellow—colors specifically chosen for canine visual perception! ​We want this to feel like a real home, and we need your help to furnish it. Whether it's a cozy rug or a pup-friendly storage bin, every item brings us closer to opening the doors.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated supplies and money for Hope and the babies! She especially loved the bacon Peanutbutter! I do want to clarify that Hope came into our rescue already pregnant, we will be getting her spayed as soon as she is able to be. We also never adopt a dog out until they are spayed/neutered.

This said, we are able to help with local dogs and cats needing spayed and neutered! If you have a dog or cat in need of these services please reach out to us and we will help you get them in, and cover the costs! This helps prevent situations like the one we found Hope and her sweet babies in!

Alert: My therapist has four legs and zero chill

Decided to skip the couch session today and head straight to the Laurens County Sheriff's Animal Shelter instead. Because nothing says 'mental health day' like getting dragged at 7 mph by a dog who thinks every leaf is a personal enemy.

Pros so far:
-Free cardio (my arms are already noodles)
-Instant serotonin from tail wags that could power a small wind turbine
-Zero judgment when I try to keep up with Zoomies McZoomface

Cons:
-I had to put the sweet guy back in the kennel
-I now smell like Eau de Wet Dog – new signature scent dropping soon
-I got a little dog hair on my pants!

If you're in the Laurens area and need an excuse to leave your house, come walk a pup with me !

These sweet babies just want OUT for a stroll, some scratches, and maybe to plot world domination via excessive cuteness.

Best times: Weekdays 10-4. (Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire walk)

Our sweet girl Hope, who was recently rescued from the streets, just brought 11 precious new lives into the world! While we are so happy they are safe, a nursing mom and a litter of puppies require a lot of resources—and quickly.

Because our intake is currently closed, we are focused on getting these babies healthy and finding a partner rescue to help them find homes when they are ready to leave Mom in 8 weeks.

There are moments on this rescue journey that remind me we’re not alone... and this is one of them. Because of the incredible kindness of Puppies and Golf, Mimi’s Place received a $4,000 donation to improve our shed & replace fencing for the pups in our rescue.
What that really means is more safety. More comfort. More healing.
These dogs came from places where they weren’t protected or valued. And now, because someone chose to care, their world just became softer & safer.
I am deeply, truly grateful.
It takes a village to change their lives, and I’m so thankful for every single person who stands beside us and believes they deserve better.
