Carnwath Farms Historic Site & Park is a hidden gem located in the Wheeler Hill Historic District of the Town of Wappinger, New York. The estate was purchased by the town in 1999 to preserve green space and the rich history of Wappinger. The grounds are open to the public daily for hiking and recreational activities. Carnwath Farms Historic Site & Park is home to its 1850 pre-restoration mansion, Carnwath Manor; 1873 Carriage House, a 1927 Cottage, Frances Reese Cultural Center ( Home of Sports Museum of Dutchess County), Carnwath Chapel, gazebo, and trails.

Join us on Saturday, September 12th for Living History Day! This will be held at Carnwath Farms and is open to everyone. There will be many colonial style activities, including: butter churning, colonial games, and a live revolutionary reenactment.

This event will also be the debut of the Rev 250 Wappinger Revolutionary Roots guidebook! Pick one up for free and explore the historical sites in our hometown. A map will be included inside.
