This Saturday, we welcome the New York Wing Commemorative Air Force and their PT-26 warbird to Wings N’ Wheels at Wings Field in Blue Bell, PA!

Also known as the M62A and British Cornell, this 1943 WWII veteran aircraft was primarily used to train pilots during World War II. With its 6-cylinder Ranger 440 engine, open cockpit, and classic wood-and-fabric design, the PT-26 is a true living piece of aviation history.

🚀 Top speed: 187 MPH
â›˝ Fuel burn: ~12 gallons per hour

Want to do more than just admire it? The CAF will be offering Warbird Experience Rides in the PT-26 for $225 per passenger—a once-in-a-lifetime chance to feel history come alive in the skies! A portion of each ticket purchase is donated to AFE.

Don’t miss this incredible experience. Get your tickets at the Flight Tent on Saturday.

The Fairchild PT-26B is a 1943 era WWII primary trainer that was the first plane our WWII pilots flew before moving on to Basic trainers, Advanced Trainers and single seat fighters or bombers. The PT-26 is primarily wood construction with wood veneer and fabric covering. The PT-26 was primarily used by the Canadians since it has an enclosed cockpit. Safe, reliable, economical, and steady, the PT-26 is the perfect plane to take a ride in at Warbird Weekend! To book your ride click here: https://www.newyorkcaf.org/services-6

Our unit put in over one hundred volunteer hours helping the DFW Wing with the Bringing the Boys Back Home project. The DFW Wing set out to bring grave rubbings of 423 British servicemen who died in the United States during the war back to the UK on Ready 4 Duty during their Navy to Victory tour. We are honored to have helped. The New York Wing, with help from the Cradle of Aviation Museum, did 42 of these graves in Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island!
