🚨 ACTION ALERT! 🚨

Survivors deserve better than federal funding delays. Sign the peition to urge Congress to take action now: https://nnedv.quorum.us/campaign/162461/

Domestic violence shelters, r**e crisis centers, and other programs have been experiencing federal funding delays. Additional delays will force programs to lay off staff, reduce services, and close their doors, leaving survivors with nowhere to go.

Congress must push for the DOJ and HHS to immediately publish NOFOs and expedite the release of congressionally appropriated funds. Survivors and programs can't wait.

We are looking forward to participating at the Multicultural Fair. We hope to see you there🥳

The Swap the Shame Shift the Blame event coordinated by Kathy Peluso of Family Services on Wednesday April 29th was absolutely fantastic! The panel was very well rounded and very informative! If you missed this event I highly recommend you make it to the next one. Family Services coordinates about 3 events like this every year and we will make sure to keep you informed💜💙. The panel was very well thought out including trauma informed advocate, healthcare professionals, therapists, police officer, Assistant DA, CPCA expert panelist and the Human Trafficking Coordinator-Safe Harbour. The amount of coordinated information was very educational. To be able to have all of your sexual assault/abuse questions answered in person in one room was beyond informative and time efficient! In the real world it takes months of chasing people in different agencies in different offices in order to get half of the information and to have those answers be collaboratively given is unheard of!

My only disappointment was the lack of attendance from local policymakers—town board members, county legislators, and state representatives. These are the people shaping the systems survivors rely on, and they weren’t in the room to hear these realities firsthand. If we want real change, they need to show up and listen.

I hope to see lots of people out at this event tomorrow💙💜
