We lost a great Marine today. One of our own. It's with a heavy heart I must tell you all Marvin Simpson, grandfather to Alex Hood, passed away. Alex and his family are in our thoughts and prayers.
And when they gaze on Heaven's scenes. They will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines.

WANATAH | Three soldiers from Northwest Indiana received a hero's welcome home complete with a police and firefighter es**rt Saturday along U.S. 30 to the American Legion in Wanatah.

Friday is the final call for toys for the 2012 Toys for Tots program. If you'd like to donate, please do so tomorrow. So far we have collected $1,600 & two truck loads of toys. It's amazing what a small town can do. Thank you all who have donated.
