Toto is coming home! Packed up from Icon Poly and rolling out to Wamego. Thanks to our partners from Midwest Concrete Materials for letting Toto hitch a ride on one of their trucks.

The OZ Museum is home to so much amazing OZ and Hollywood history right here in downtown Wamego, KS! What an amazing addition to the collection.

Do you have courage? The OZ Museum does!

To be unveiled as part of the permanent collection at OZtoberfest on October 3rd, this is the prototype of the Cowardly Lion's "Courage Medal" from the 1939 film. This original piece from the MGM classic was made by the Studio Art Metal Shop at Western Costume Company. The molds made of it were then used to pour what would become the gold colored medal props used in the film. It had been part of the MGM archive until the 1970 MGM bankruptcy sale, eventually coming into the OZ collector and auction world decades later.

The OZ Museum is incredibly proud to have this piece of Wizard of OZ and Hollywood history as part of the permanent collection. Come be part of the unveiling of the new exhibits at 10:30am on October 3rd as part of OZtoberfest in downtown Wamego, KS !
