Mission statement: We promote service to others, support Waltham nonprofits, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. With your help, we contribute to over two dozen local Waltham non-profits each year, including the Waltham Boys and Girls Club, Healthy Waltham, REACH Beyond Domestic Violence, Opportunities for In
clusion, and Waltham Partnership for Youth. Rotarians are people of action. Recent service projects:
- Delivered Healthy Waltham food to shut-ins who couldn't access distributions
- Packed and distributed hygiene bags at Chesterbrook and Prospect Hill for the Waltham Boys and Girls Club
- Collected, promoted, and and solicited for the Winter Items Drive for local organizations serving homeless populations--along with Waltham Lions Club and Brandeis student volunteers.
- Packed Thanksgiving bags with the Salvation Army. We have been challenged to meet our fundraising goals during the pandemic. Three major in-person events were cancelled. We are facing a shortfall in the neighborhood of $20,000 on June 30, 2021. All donations of any amount are welcomed so we can show up for the charities in our neighborhoods. People who are hungry, people who are at risk need you now as much as ever.
