Youth aren't just the future. They're leading right now.
šŸ“£ Join us on July 29 for a powerful conversation about what happens when young people are trusted to lead.
More Than Words is partnering with YW Boston to host Our Transformative Power: Built With Youth, Led by Youth ā€” a day of learning, connection, and action featuring youth leaders, advocates, educators, and community members.

Together, we'll explore:
āœØ How young people are creating change in their communities
āœØ What authentic youth leadership looks like
āœØ How adults can better listen, support, and empower youth voices
Whether you're a student, educator, nonprofit leader, parent, or community advocate, this event is for you.

Big news: The Foster Children Bill of Rights just passed the MA Senate 39ā€“0. šŸ™Œ
This moment didnā€™t happen overnight. Itā€™s the result of years of advocacy, youth voice, and lived expertise driving change.

In 2022, MTW youth shared pages of feedback that helped shape the original bill.
Since then, PIY youth have shown up, meeting with legislators, speaking at Advocacy Day, and testifying in committees.
This year, they did it again, bringing new input and continuing to push this work forward

Because this has always been about one thing:
Nothing about us without us.

Now the bill heads to conference committee and weā€™re not done yet. It is now up to our system, and the adults who lead them, to be accountable for following through on these promises.

Thank you to Senator Robyn Kennedy and State Senator Liz Miranda for your leadership in getting this across the Senate.

A huge thank you to all the amazing folks who bring the dessert to More Than Dessert. Are we stuffed with sweets? Yes. Will we do it again? HECK Yes.
